Evapco Midwest in Greenup recently donated $2,500 to the Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Foundation to assist patients receiving treatment in the Regional Cancer Center. Since 2019, Evapco’s annual cancer awareness shirt design contest has raised more than $14,500.
The shirt design contest is offered to Evapco employees to raise funds and awareness. The winning design, by Evapco employees Shauntona Suprenant and Mary Ellen Smith, features a tractor inside a ribbon with the phrase “Let’s Plow Through Cancer.”
Proceeds from sales accounted for the largest part of the donation, but office employees could also donate $1 or more for the privilege of wearing jeans on Wednesdays, and Evapco contributed to the overall donation.
“We love this project because it brings our employees together,” Evapco General Manager Mike Giannavola said. “It also gives our employees the opportunity to make an impact by being part of something bigger.”
