SC3F Wealth Management Group, led by Gary Swearingen, Managing Partner, recently donated $1,000 to the Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Foundation to benefit the hospital’s Heart Center. Accepting the donation was Cardiologist Mike LaMonto, DO, who diagnoses and treats a variety of cardiac issues.
“One in four people die from heart disease each year, making it the leading cause of death for men and women,” Dr. LaMonto said. “So many patients come through our doors who simply can’t afford tools that they need to help us monitor their disease, such as home blood pressure cuffs or quality scales to monitor rapid weight gain that could indicate heart failure. Others can’t afford the out-of-pocket costs for non-covered, yet life-saving screenings like the Heart to Heart program. Generous donations like this help us, help them.”
The SBL Heart Center offers a full range of cardiovascular services, including diagnostic testing, treatments, screening programs, disease management and prevention initiatives. It provides area residents with technologically advanced cardiac care close to home. The Heart Center has two cardiac catheterization labs, 15 exam rooms, a rehabilitation gym and all echocardiography, EKG, pulmonary function and stress testing, as well as METS programs.
“Sarah Bush Lincoln’s Heart Center has certainly helped many friends and family members of our SC3F team, so we thought it fitting to make this donation during National Heart Month,” Swearingen said. “We strive to help others in the community, especially those who need it the most.”
